Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio
MANSFIELD, Ohio (November 29, 2017) – Through a generous matching gift, supporters of Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio raised over $1,600 during the online day of giving campaign, "Richland Gives," in conjunction with "Giving Tuesday." The matching gift was sponsored by a generous donor who pledged $700 if supporters matched the same amount. Online donations totaled over $900, matching the gift and bringing the total amount raised to over $1,600.
The campaign raised funds for VNA of Ohio's Patient Emergency Fund, which helps patients and their families in times of crisis. Each year, VNA of Ohio staff and donors raise money to help patients with "gaps" such as electric bills, rides to doctors' appointments or specialized equipment that insurance does not cover. Filling these gaps for patients and families helps patients better recover and live independently at home. The Patient Emergency Fund was established in 2011 by VNA staff, although VNA of Ohio is rooted in philanthropy and charitable giving. Learn more about our story.
