Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio
CLEVELAND, Ohio (November 22, 2017) –The Alzheimer’s Association Cleveland Area Chapter facilitated two courses on dementia and Alzheimer’s for staff at Visiting Nurse Association of Ohio and will faciliate one more course in early December. The courses are focused on basics of the disease, common misconceptions and how to communicate and recognize behaviors of the disease. Nurses and social workers also received CEUs for their participation.
Each course focused on a different aspect of the disease and was geared towards the caregivers: basics for social workers, effective communication strategies, and recognizing behaviors.
